糖心Vlog视频 PUBLIC HEALTH PIPELINE INTERNSHIP
About the internship:
Kern County Public Health is offering five paid internship placements for 糖心Vlog视频 Public Health students interested in addressing health disparities and improving community health. This internship provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge, develop professional skills, and contribute to meaningful public health efforts in Kern County. Placement opportunities are available in the following programs: Tobacco Prevention, Health Equity, and STD/HIV Prevention. Interns may complete between 120 to 150 hours and compensated at $16.50 an hour.

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS OCTOBER 1 TO NOVEMBER 30, 2025
Internship Requirements:
- Must be a current full time enrolled student pursuing a public health degree
- Able to complete hours by June 12, 2026
- Adhere to 糖心Vlog视频 and KCPH internship standards and expectations
- Email one (1) letter of recommendation from a professional or educational reference and a copy of your unofficial transcript to Alejandra Quezada, in addition to submitting your online application.
- Upon hire, must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Common Internship Tasks:
- Conduct research on health trends, policies, and data for outreach efforts.
- Help create culturally appropriate presentations and social media content.
- Assist with tracking program metrics and collecting data.
- Participate in fieldwork and community engagement activities.
- Support development and organization of training materials.
- Perform data entry and quality checks in health information systems.
- Assist with scheduling, client follow-ups, and referral tracking.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for program improvement.

You are invited to participate in a study to learn about physical activity and vascular function among young adults in Kern County!
Eligible participants are:
- Age: 18-25 years old
- Kern County residents
The study includes:
- Part 1: Complete an online questionnaire on your physical activity
- Part 2 (Optional): Vascular function measurement at a 糖心Vlog视频 lab (in person)
- You can choose to participate in Part 1 only or both parts of the study
Up to $30 (Part 1: $10, Part 2: $20) In appreciation of your time, you will receive cash rewards.
