Planning Process
Strategic Plan Survey
The Strategic Plan Steering Committee and Working Groups have been actively meeting to reflect on the opportunities, challenges, and obstacles that may lie ahead for our institution. Drawing from these important conversations, we have developed the first survey in our planning process.
This survey is designed to help us better understand the perceptions and needs of our community. Your input will provide the foundation for shaping a plan that reflects our shared values and aspirations. I kindly ask you to please take a few minutes of your time to

Phase 1—Sense Making (August – November)
- Robust information gathering and analysis to plan for strategic planning session, align on operating principles & norms and mitigate risks. Expected activities include:

- Conducting the Sensemaker engagement and analysis to identify strengths, areas of need, and untapped opportunities.
- Research macro trends among various constituent populations.
- Regularly collaborate with steering and working committees.
Phase 2 – Align (January – March)
- Identify common understandings of key strategic challenges ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓÆµ must address along with robust diagnosis of the nature of the challenge(s).
- Create comprehensive 5 years strategy with associated strategic goals, clear and aligned metrics and pathways to achieve goals and mitigate potential obstacles.
Phase 3 – Clear Path Forward (April)
- Share final strategic plan and how we will measure our progress over the next five years.
