Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)
- To act as an advisory committee to Student Health Services (SHS)
- To assist in formulating and developing new programs/services to meet student needs
- To promote healthy lifestyles and participate in health promotion activities
- To act as patient advocates by making recommendations to the SHS
- To serve as liaison between the student body and SHS
- To meet new people and get involved on campus
- To make recommendations regarding health fees and have an impact on Student Health Services
- To make contacts with health care professionals
- To have fun!
The Student Health Advisory Committee is primarily made up of students and Peer Educators. Additionally, various staff and faculty members of 糖心Vlog视频 make up this committee.

Student Opportunities at SHS
糖心Vlog视频 students (undergraduate or graduate) interested in health promotion or the health field have the opportunity to intern with the Director or Health Education Coordinator. We offer paid and non-paid positions. Interns and student workers work in many different areas of health promotion and gain valuable skills in preparation for working in the health field. Interns and student workers help with peer education, outreach, presentations, group facilitation, assessment and many other areas. Additionally, we are always open to any ideas students may have for additional projects, and we can work together on specific projects needed for classes or degree programs.
Qualifications:
- For student workers (paid positions): completion of application through Handshake.

- Completion of interview with the Director or Health Education Coordinator (all positions).
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
