Ms. Boeck has been a member of the Music & Theatre Department since 2005. She holds
a BFA in Theatre Performance from Niagara University and an MFA in Theatre for Youth
from Arizona State University. She has spent over thirty years developing a diverse
career in the Theatre as an educator, performer and theater maker. She has written
plays for Young Audiences and adults that incorporate music, dance and puppetry. Works
include 鈥淒ustbowl Dreams鈥, 鈥淭he Talking Stick鈥, 鈥淭he Water Play鈥, 鈥淢ap Making鈥, 鈥淏ecoming
Flux鈥 and 鈥淲hen Niagara Falls鈥. She draws inspiration from the folklore, mythology
and history of different cultures and people. She believes that the purpose of theatre
artists is to give voice to those whose stories should and need to be told. Her current
work 鈥淐ataract House: A True American Musical鈥 is being workshopped for professional
production in 2025. She was awarded a University Research Grant in 2023, and was chosen
as a Kegley Institute of Ethics Fellow in 2024 in connection to her work on 鈥淐ataract
