Education:

Dr. Mouanoutoua received his PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. His dissertation revolved around the use of brief experiential analysis to identify math interventions for struggling students in middle school.

Teaching:

Dr. Mouanoutoua is an experienced instructor who has taught many courses in a credential program. He currently teaches courses in the first phase of our Education Specialist Credential Program and spearheads the internship pathway, where he supports university supervisors and builds capacity with our intern teachers through professional development opportunities.

Research:

One of Dr. Mouanoutoua鈥檚 research interests consists of identifying math interventions for struggling students. He has conducted research using both single subject experimental design and group experimental analysis. He has attended and presented at many state, national, and international conferences. His other research interests involve the study of BIPOC special education candidates in California, where he hopes to learn more about the recruitment and retention rate of diverse special educators from the golden state.
