Dr. Dan Stockwell will share findings from his qualitative research study on the tensions secondary
English language arts teachers experience when providing critical literacy pedagogy.
He will describe his research methods, explain key aspects of conducting qualitative
research, and provide specific examples of ways teachers can implement critical literacy
pedagogy in their teaching while providing strategies for addressing concerns about
parental or administrative pushback.
