Student Title IX Training

CSU Bakersfield's commitment to the safety of its campus community and a mandate from the CSU requires all students, staff and faculty to complete an annual online Title IX training. Per CSU Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking, and Retaliation (Nondiscrimination Policy) all students, staff and faculty are required to complete training on campus sexual violence as well as discrimination and harassment.

Accessing the Online Student Title IX Training

To complete the training online, use this link: . You will log in using your ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓÆµ credentials (username and password).

NOTE: The "Consent for Research" at the beginning of the training is voluntary — you may decline it. Declining will remove the survey sections.

Alternative Workshop Sessions

This training contains sensitive material involving sexual and interpersonal violence. If you have concerns about the personal impact of this training, you may take an alternate workshop instead.

There are no more Alternative Workshop Session scheduled for Fall 2025.

Accommodations

 

ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓÆµ is fully aware that the content of these training's contain content that is sensitive in nature. The University provide a special accommodation for those who are not comfortable with taking the training because they may be survivor, religious reasons, or a disability. The special accommodation consist of a one-on-one meeting with our Victim's Advocate, who will review all our campus resources, address any concerns, and answer any questions.

At ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓÆµ we prioritize finding ways to ensure that you have the most comprehensive, and rewarding, college experience. That demands an environment that is accessible, inclusive, healthy and safe. To that end, we educate and train all members of our campus community to help ensure that environment exists.

All students, per Executive Order 1095 (revised), are required to complete training on sexual misconduct on an annual basis.

ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓÆµ is using Vector LMS, Higher Education Student Edition to offer video based training that will provide critical information about the issues of sexual misconduct, helping you better understand their importance, and what you can do to help make our campus safe.

All students are sent a letter via email detailing log-in information and training details. A judicial hold will be placed on the students account should they fail to complete their Title IX training requirements by the specified deadline. The judicial hold will prevent students from registering for classes for the following semester.

EIC Hold - No Enroll

Failure to fulfill your Title IX training requirement by the specified deadline will result in a "EICHold - No Enroll" being placed on your account, which will prevent students from registering for classes for the following semester. You can still access and complete the training when the hold is placed, however, it will not be lifted until the training is completed. The hold is automatically removed within 24-hours of completion.

The university's primary concern is the safety of its campus community members. All ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓÆµ students are required to take Title IX online training every academic year. It is part of a system-wide effort to ensure that all students are provided a safe learning environment. Below is a list of Title IX Training FAQs.

Where can I go to complete the training?

You should have received an email with instructions to log into the training module. If you have not received an email, please email t9training@csub.edu.

Why do I have to take this training?

All ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓÆµ students are required to take Title IX online training. It is part of a system-wide effort to ensure that all students are provided a safe learning environment.

What happens if I don't complete the training?

If the training has not been completed by the deadline, a registration hold will be placed on your account. You will not be able to register for classes for the following semester. The hold can only be removed by completing the training.

Will there be another opportunity to take the training if I miss the deadline?

You will be able to take the training once the deadline has passed, but the registration hold will not be lifted until you have completed the training. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours to remove the hold.

Is there a way to waive this requirement?

This training is mandatory therefore there are no waivers.

This training is difficult for me due to a past experience of abuse. What options do I have?

We do provide accommodations for campus community members who find the online training to difficult or triggering to complete. If you would like request an accommodation, email us at t9training@csub.edu.

I took this training last year. Do I have to complete it again?

Yes. This training is required every academic year for all students.
