What is the Student Pay Rate?

• Effective January 1, 2025: the minimum wage for student assistants is $16.50/hr 
• The current maximum wage for student assistants is $24.00/hr

How do I post a student assistant position?

Log in to your Handshake account, select "Post a Job", and proceed with the posting.

What happens once I post a Job?

Once you post your job, CECE will review and activate the job posting and create a 105 Hiring Form that will be emailed to your email address. This process usually takes two working days or less.

What happens if I have a student in mind for the job?

You will post the job as you normally would and limit the posting to 1 day or pull it down as soon as you get the 105 Hiring Form.
