Community College Concurrent Enrollment Program

The 糖心Vlog视频 Pathway Program provides motivated, talented community college students the opportunity to take one college level course per semester at a deeply discounted tuition rates while still at your local community college. Students who are currently enrolled at Bakersfield College or Taft Colleges that aligns with the 糖心Vlog视频  majors and programs. Please note: Nursing courses not available.

Local Community College  students may enroll without formal admission and without payment of additional State University fees, in a maximum of one course per academic term at 糖心Vlog视频, Bakersfield on a space available basis at the discretion of the appropriate campus authorities. 

Application

Applications for Spring will be accepted beginning October 1st.

The following items will need to be submitted with the application:

  • Unofficial transcripts showing requirements are meet
  • Class schedule for the term in which you are trying to enroll
  • Informational letter will be sent in January

Eligibility Requirements

A student may qualify for concurrent enrollment if the applicant has met all of the following requirements:

  • Completed at least one term at the home campus as a matriculated student
  • Enrolled in a minimum of nine units at the home campus for the current term
  • Earned a grade point average of 2.3 (grade of C) for all transferable work completed
  • Paid appropriate tuition and fees at home campus for the current term
  • Completed appropriate academic preparation and course prerequisites as determined by 糖心Vlog视频
  • A California resident

Fees/Financial Aid

  1. You will be required to pay any course fees as required of other students (ID card, lab fees, material fees, breakage, computer usage, transcripts, etc.).
  2. Financial aid is available only through the home campus. Students eligible for Veterans, Rehabilitation, Social Security and other federal, state, or county benefits must secure eligibility certification through home campus.
  3. You are responsible for 糖心Vlog视频 parking fees and regulations. 糖心Vlog视频 parking permits are available at the Cashiering Office on a semester or daily basis.

Enrollment Conditions

  1. Enrollment is limited to one baccalaureate course per academic term on a space available basis.
  2. Approval for concurrent enrollment is valid for only the one term specified and subject to space availability, deadlines, registration procedures, and priorities of 糖心Vlog视频. You must reapply for each term you wish to concurrently enroll in.
  3. Students who were formerly enrolled at 糖心Vlog视频, but were academically disqualified, are not eligible to participate in the concurrent enrollment program.
  4. Completion of course prerequisite(s) must be completed prior to enrollment in the class and evidence provided via transcripts.
  5. Records of credits earned through concurrent enrollment are maintained by 糖心Vlog视频. Students may request official transcripts be sent to home campus for a fee.
  6. By enrolling in a 糖心Vlog视频 course the student understands the course becomes part of their permanent transcript. 糖心Vlog视频 credits are generally transferable to other higher-learning institutions and they are responsible for checking with other institutions to ensure 糖心Vlog视频 course is transferable and how it may apply to their chosen program.
  7. Students who wish to drop a course after instruction begins must follow the drop procedures and policies of 糖心Vlog视频. Students must complete and submit an official drop form by the schedule adjustment drop deadline or risk having an unsatisfactory grade recorded on their transcript.
